No coach worthy him or herself would guaranteed playing time for a player. I do not understand where people got that idea last time a player quit the national team he would come back only when he is guaranteed playing time.

People come here all the time saying you should insert in a contract "guaranteed playing time".

My friends a players is used in game based on the coach game plan and his fitness level so let stop this nonsense of asking for guaranteed playing time.

my friend. u are too dumb. TOURNAMNTS AND QUALIFYING SERIES E.G CL, WCUP QUALIFIERS ARE NOT THE SAME. DO YOU WANT ME TO EXPLAIN THAT TO you as well? the game intervals are different. players have either a short period or longer to recuperate from injuries, games. mentality and fitness level are seriously at play here. therefore, the more experienced a player is in a tournamnt situation, the better. in tournamnts defence is the key to winning. in single game qualifiers strikers are the key. you also have the issue of venue/home stadium support as well. so you see yakubu, these are a few of the differences between tournamnts and single qualifiers. this is the sole reason why a player like messi/ronaldo for that matter have excelled with clubs, but not necessarily with country in tournamnts situations.

It takes more than just skills to play any game.
Reflexes - "elasticity"
Physical condition - Heart is weak. Stamina will never be the same.
Take a cue from Abedi Pele & Tony Yeboah.
I will rather urge you to try and join the Black Star technical team so you can advise the young goalkeepers.
Please get it and quit soccer. There's time for everything.
I hope you have plenty of money to last you a lifetime - or you gave all your money to TB?
Consider yourself blessed to be in your late forties and having played soccer for all these years without any major injuries.

Quite clearly Black Stars players are the most mobile in clubs around Europe, it shows instability in the team's set up. Akwesi Appiah has a lot of work to do raising a winsome team out of these long lists of bench warmers.
