that has often been the bane of ghana football. that is what i call ''self first''. considerable number of forwrds and midfielders think about what can accrue to them as a player before thinking of the team anytime the ball comes to them. that is why a midfielder who should be creating opportunities will start finding space to shot on goal. Yahaya Mohammed looks strong but is quick to fall and the solution would have been for him to quickly release the ball and take position. Sometimes it will take one very good passer and controller of the ball to affect the team to start passing the ball. that was what eric addo brought to the blackstars prior to the 2006 world cup but unfortunately the coaches started using him as a defender instead of an offensive midfielder.
luckily for this team, asiedu attobrah just fit that billing. he contols and passes the ball well, he sheilds it well, he positions himself well and dribbles very well. if konadu will see reason and drop mpong who seemed busy for nothing, i can foresee ghana football flowing smoothly. just check his brief presence on the pitch in our match against congo.
