Mr Koufie is an objective analyst and an expert in Ghana soccer and in this instance almost got it 100% right. Those Players who deserve call ups are unfortunately playing at positions where the senior Blackstar team is well stocked. Kwabena Adusei and Nuhu Sulley deserve call ups but we have, John Boye, Jonathan Mensah, Isaac Vorsah, Rashid Sumaila and Awal vying for the four and five positions.

That leaves the two Aduana Players playing one and two where the Blackstars need help. Godfred Saka and Stephen Adams deserve at least a call up. At lesst Stephen Adams, the goalkeeper of the local Blackstars has the structure of a goalkeeper, tall, broad, strong, agile with good anticipation skills. Ghana has only conceded one goal and that was from the penalty spot. If we are going to take three goalkeepers to Brazil, the competition for the three spots should be filled from Kwarasey, Daniel Adgei, Stephen Adams and Fatau Dauda. If Fatau Dauda continue to warm the bench in South Africa, then he should lose his place in the team.

For me I don't see any of the assembled players worthy of a call up to the main Black Stars. They are very individualistic in their play without focus, particularly hanging unto balls,giving out faulty passes, vision less and wayward kicks,uncalled for simulations and what have you.
Everyone of them seem to be playing for himself with the view to attract scouts who have come to contract cheap players for low fees. We don't have a team in the Local Black Stars,even though they are soldiering on in the current tournament. Uncle Ben, you've hit it right on the nail.

in the senior national team, there has not been a single match that our central defenders of John mensah, john boye, vorsah, jonathan, akaminko, rashid have not commited one mistake or the other. they seemed sometimes defficient in asserting themselves throughout. on the other hand aduseiand nuru sule, are hardly committing mistakes and are asserting themselves and are being inventive.
Again our blackstars midfield has been crying for a that sublime midfielder when on the attack and asiedu attobrah with the limimted time he has gooten so far has proven that he is just fiiting to be part of the first team.
however, with yahaya, not too strong on the ball and sometimes leaving the ball behind him, i am not comfortable he joining the senior national team unless it can be corrected.

When our much more trusted BS met DRC in the nations cup in 2013, the scores were 2-2 -- at the time the match ended, it was obvious that had the match gone on for a little longer, we would have lost. And that was almost the same team that met the local BS at the 1/4 final and the local BS won 1-0.
So let us not pass any judgment on them because they have done well.

However there was this strong defender of Kotoko who caught my eyes, I realised he cleared his lines very well, tackled well and won most of the aerial battles with the maurading Heart of Lions attackers. These guys are still in the tournament, why not give them some encouraging words to do well in the next games. What about mr, if something happened to one of the black star players before the world cup what will you do then?.

I am a boyhood friend of Robert Mensah and a Cape Coaster and Ben Koufie hated Robert Mensah's (Akusa as we called him, when we were kids playing at Victoria Park)achievement because he overshadowed him at national level.
