Konadu deserve all the praises he gets. The guy is tactically sound and has an understanding of coaching. He doesn't have a team that should be in the finals but he knows the strength of this team is in defense and goalkeeping and that is why he is not trying to overscore other teams in goal scoring competition.
Konadu has always come true on every assignment he has been given. He is better than every Coach in Ghana except Coach AA.

Look if we have lost people would call for his head when we did win people say he was using every player.
What kind of nonsense is that.
I would be back.

He was able to use Nuru Sulley, Ainosoon and Kwebena Adusei, three Players who play just the 4 and 5 positions in their clubs but figured out how to use his best three defenders in order to contain the free scoring Nigerians. That is what sets him apart from other Coaches. He out coached Keshi with a better Nigeria team.

It is true people are jumping on the bandwagon to heap praises at Konadu after getting us to the finals but what they are saying is true, they just didn't have the guts to say it earlier.Where were they when Konadu was under fire for not taking more Hearts players? That would have been a great time to show the strength of their conviction by saying the things they are saying now.

You see, there are so many haters in Ghana who did not like the selections made by Maxwell Konadu just because he selected so many Kotoko players. There were so many people who wished him to fail but with God by his side, the haters will whisper his success. I humbly thank Mr. Ahenten for appreciating what Konadu has done.
There is something in Konadu that most football managers do not have. I propose that GFA give EVERY NEEDED SUPPORT to enrich coaches Kwasi Appiah and Maxwell Konadu and at the end, Ghana will benefit greatly. May God bless Ghana.

Sammy, sorry to say, but you are wrong about the 1982 squad.
That 1982 Libya squad was not made up of eight kotoko players...Sekondi hassacas was then the leading team in the ghana league and had about six players in the playing team- Late emmanuel quarshie (Capt), essien (Zion Train), Kuuku Dadzie, Paha and two other players that i have forgotten their names...other regular players were Abbrey (wise), Kofi Badu (kotoko), George Alhassan(hearts), who was the highest goal scorer at the tournament..ok, one other hassacas player was keeper Carr but was not used because of alleged bribery so his reserve was used..he came from okwahu united...opoku nti(kotoko) was also there and then teen sensation, abedi pele(tamale united)...adolf armah(hearts) was also there and the other paha(wise)...and so to say that kotoko had eight players is totally wrong..i remember very well that ghana had even withdrawn from the tournament after jimmy carter had put pressure on Limann following an international dispute with Libya...it was rawlings who decided that ghana would participate and so the players were assembled in a short notice.
