  There's no law in Ghana that binds any individual from travelling abroad for greener pastures and it's no wonder Odjer left. All the GFA could do for this boy I guess they did. He sort permission from his local club, the GFA verified, found everything was right and gave him his ITC. GFA doesn't study player contracts until hairs have been raised about a particular contract and the details have been brought before them by a club serving under them. Please leave GFA out of this matter. There's a saying that "you'll never know your arse from a whole in the ground". This is why a player needs an agent and if you chose an idiot as one who's to blame? He's lucky to have been freed. Lol

  GFA is also the only board who are authorize by law to approve agents do GFA has guideline? Once upon a time a Black Star Coach the person who has the sole authority to call any player into the national team has the same agent as the players.
  
  This is a common sense approach I would use based on history of players abuse before an ITC is issued the player agent would pay fee bring the contract to individual review board made of lawyers and season sport admin before the ITC is issued most importantly dealing with 17 year old.

  The GFA verifies the contract between the local club and the player involved in the proposed transfer if no current agreement is being abrogated between them and if any, they advise them as such before they issue ITC. The GFA has nothing to do with what transpires in a player transfer abroad. If you're in a fix abroad, you can go to GFA and they'll show you the way to get things fixed but they're not supposed to be directly involved.

  Simply coming from a third world country does not mean entitlement to slave wages. The players should know their worth and bargain accordingly with their agents, even if they have agents at all. Ghana is hard but that does not mean you take any meager wages thrown your way.
  
  Even average players should know their worth let alone Star players. Don't let the colour of your skin deceive you. Just know your worth.
