But England will not include Barnes in the national team when he was in his prime due to racial politics. They included him in the 1990 squad only when he was past his prime. His inclusion paved way for other black stars in England such as Walker, Parker and Ince and then for all. He was a victim of the times and that Jezebel wife of his. He was not too successful as a team manager at the club level.
