The way we act as copy-cats is interesting. It started when news from Nigeria indicated that Keshie would allow the married players of the Super Eagles to go to Brazil with their wives. Then the copy-cats in Ghana took it over and suggested that not only wives but girl friends of our players should also go to Brazil. It is as if that was our original plan.
If this were our first time in going to a football tournament, it would be understandable. But the truth is that the Black Stars have already participated in several tournaments including 2 world cups. What did we do to win 4 African cups and to achieve appreciably good results in 2 world cups? We took the best players available and prepared them well.
Let us not deceive ourselves. It is only a good selection of players and preparing them well that will give us good results in Brazil. Football is not played by the wives and girlfriends of footballers. Any plan for wives and girlfriends of our players is a big mistake and a dangerous distraction. Let us rather focus on the players - ensure that they are fit and well prepared to compete. Let us not be distracted by what others are purported to be doing.

The Stars deserve to have their significant others with them. Happy cows produce more milk. Let them enjoy themselves . Have time for work and time for play. They will get distractions in Brazil by women, men and others. It is better for them to get distraction from their significant others than the unknown. They are human beings with needs. Their needs have to be taken into consideration not just using them to get fame and money for the country. After the games they need time to relax and recoup. It will be unfair for others including fans, officials , marketeers all enjoying and expect those who make it possible to watch from outside. The World Cup is not just for making money. It is for fun and happiness. It is not war! Fun fun fun!

I think it will be better if he concentrates on diagnosing and treating the Lunatics walking the streets of Kumasi. Wives and girl friends joining their spouses at World Cup tournaments is nothing new. Top nations have been doing this over the years. Mind you they don't stay in the camp or the same hotel as the players. Rather the players are allowed to visit in between matches or when off training as part of their recreation and chilling out from the hectic business of hard physical duties of regular training and highly competitive games. Contrary to what this Psychiatrist cum Psychologist cum Evangelist is saying players are emotionally and psychologically motivated by this approach. He should ask his colleagues at the Psychology department of the KATH. He will be told he was talking nonsense, I am afraid to say.

if gbstars want to win the wcup. they must be prepared to sacrifice. do something you hve never done before....that means. any kind of distraction the team/players entertained/engaged in 2006, 2010 must be thrown away!

He has been offered a free treatment by a top psychologist. He did not take it up It appears he went to seek the help of this Komfo Anokye Psychiatrist, Donnir. Unfortunately, it looks like he did not do a good job on oGHimifuo. As you can see the madness is still alive and kicking.
