I think Jeff should be dropped and should it come to us needing another full back due to injuries, we can let Kwadwo Asamoah play that position as he has done so in the past at club level.

I will first of all have to say that contrary to what most Ghanaians in this forum think, I watched the friendly three time today and I have to say that we did quite well. We were not brilliant but not many teams play brilliantly against the Dutch. They were the runners up in the last world cup, they are a top, top side and the BS stood up to them really well except our defense that stood off Robin, Blind and V. Persie. Boye's absence was sorely missed as he organizes the back four much better. The defense needs to be switched on all the time. We also gave away the ball cheaply which will be costly against the likes of Germany and Portugal. Holland however did not find it easy against us at all. They had their best 11 out there and we did not. Boye, Asamoah Djan, Jonathan Mensah, Wakaso coming in will make the team much stronger. If KA addresses these little deficiencies, the BS will be a match for any team in Brazil. Oh and KA did the utmost right thing by playing Krarassey in goal. He is our undisputed no 1 at the minute, he proved it again yesterday. So, like I said earlier, it is far from doom and gloom as some are portraying, we have a strong cohesive and highly talented team. You guys will be jumping out of your seats when we tear the USA, Portugal and Germany apart. Mark my words..

After watching this game, I feel Jordan was impertinent and really played nothing in this game. In addition, I really did not see the performance of Adomah. If we can get someone to take over the left back should he experience an injury, I would say Jeff be dropped. He really lacks confidence and pace. Aside these guys, Rabiu was questionable, Essien seemed a bit rusty and could not take charge of the midfield, I hope Akaminko is not seriously injured, Sumaila was making rushed tackles, we did not get to see Accam nor Wakaso. in cnclusion i feel with the start of the first team and letting players retain their comfortable positions we will do great at this world cup. I.E Kwadwo Asamoah is obviously not comfortable at the wings.

AA, didn't u see the dutch coach taking notes as the game was going on. Writing and re writing his mistakes as the game was going on? Roco, u need to watch teams like brasil, Barcelona and spain play. 2,3 touches max for each player. When youndo this, u don't give ur opponents the chance to regroup, position themselves physically and mentally to receive the ball. U need to see where ur player is. Make sure they are open to receive a pass before u pass the ball. So 1touch passing won't be a good idea.

We cannot be playing Zone in or around the 18. To offset the play of our opponent we have to play zone mostly when we are in possession of the ball. As soon as we lose the ball we have to play man on man. It will easily confuse our opponents who are used to playing with space to pass the balls. Our Midfielders have to play together making good use of space and support from one another. Their passes to the forwards should not be obviously predictable. One touch passes become more effective. If the play-maker of our opponents is the most trouble maker keep a mid fielder on him constantly.It will mess up their game. Lastly reckless tackling will not go unpunished. Don't leave the opponents too much space or else, we will be chasing after the ball and man throughout the games; tighter marking is key in and around the 18 avoid causing penalties by hard , foolish tackles. He still has an urging knack for attacking distribution.

I would definitely take him to Brazil to give us a jump in the first game.

For your question, don't count on Ghanaian or any other African officials to have those very important, telling, compelling statistics.

Ask the English.
They will give you a perfectly correct answer regarding Essien when he was at Chelsea, or the French when he was at Lyon.

Afriyie definitely justified his selection and probably won himself a starting spot in the number 6 position.
The competition for his back is actually between Essien and Rabiu but I would give a slight edge to Essien. Unless AA plans to take three players for that role to Brazil or play with three defensive midfielders like he did today, Rabiu is in trouble. Sule and K. Asamoah are already holding down the left side defensive midfield roles.

In fact AA is up to something, and I hope it works for him. Ghana made several changes, and improved as more senior players were added such as KPG, Dede and Jonathan. I am eager to see how AA's first 11 would fare against South Korean should he decide to unleash it in the next friendly. Against the Dutch the players were fighting for inclusion and lost a collective effort. Against S. Korea, it will be about conditioning and tactics.

I agree. No injuries in this match. The coach should be able to decide the players to be dropped. It's good most of the reliable players are on the bench. If the game is balanced, he should leave them on the bench to the end.

We will keep close eyes on his performance.
If he sucks, and the naysayers are vindicated, it will be STUPID and sheer foolhardiness to pick him for the WC squad
His performance in this game will be crucial as a lot of ghanaians believe he's a spent horse and should not go to the WC.
All eyes will be on Essien today, believe it or not.

The fact that defense was not a problem in the second half shows that Essien and Rabiu playing in the defensive midfield role were part of the problem. I think Essien and Jordan should be dropped.

We started at a slow tempo in the first 20 minutes and from there we have to play catch-up in terms of sharpness, then someone goes and mess up the offside trap because he's not thinking slow, not thinking about the shape of the defence and we concede, it was the same thing we did against Montenegro which resulted in the penalty we gave away.

Higher up on pitch, we lacked a genius or brilliant direct-minded offensive midfielder to open up their defence with pace and passes. In the striking department, there were vast spaces behind the dutch defence which was unexploited. This is something Akwasi Appiah has to work on. Pacier wingers or a clever stronger striker could have easily exploit those spaces with his movements.

Why is there no discipline or organisation in our midfield and especially our back 4. With a holding players, 1 sits and the other plays but why were both Essien & Rabiu attacking at the same time and leaving us exposed? Rabiu should have sat back & let Essien go forward since he's better on the ball. Can't AA see this? Every since he was appointed, I noticed that it can take only 1 pass and our whole midfield is out the game.

Our back 4 are terrible. They can't move as a unit or read the game properly, instead of tracking their individual runners, all they done was keep their eyes on the ball meaning 2 of them usually go for the same ball which then creates space & allows the Dutch players to expose us.
This is what happens when you don't have an experienced leader in defence. I really think we're going to miss Mensah or Vorsah in the WC

AA sort it out asap otherwise we'll be on the plane back home early with England! I can't have both my countries exiting at the group stages.

Sumaila is good but he need psychologist to cancelled him him before the tournament other then that we will be awarding our opponents penalties every match. We have shooters like Muntari, Prince and Wakaso but I don't see why Appiah bench all of them, even if u r testing ur team u have to fear embarrassing
