Holland obviously used their regular in the trial match. Nothing wrong with A.A. to give play time to some players to allow him make his final decisions. I hope A.A shall feature his first pick against S. Korea to exhibit our formation and attacking ability.

Who does Akweai Appiah think he's kidding. This is not an altogether new rule. This is what FIFA has mandated for friendlies for sometime now and the coach mustn't talk as if he was taken aback by it. Meanwhile, i'm only hoping that the coach knows what he's doing. I've always maintained unlike what the FA and other sports analyst have been saying that Akwesi Appiah is not the right coach who should be handling the Black Stars. He has not got what it takes even to handle a club side in Ghana, let alone the National Team. For me, putting AA in charge is like asking an SSS graduate to lecture Post Graduate students at the university. Our current crop of Black Star players are not only matured, they have reach the stage in their career where most of them have become world class players, thus they require a world class coach to handle them. This trial and error thing with Akwesi Appiah just doesn't make sense even if he wins the world cup with them. I stand accused!!

Why was Dede brought in while other untested players sat on the bench?
Is Nkoom better than Schlupp? The conceded goal was caused by Nkoom's failure to mark Robben. Just unfortunate Schlupp fell.

I feel the same way about AA for the fact that whereas he has made some improvements in his decisions which have impacted the Black Stars positively, he still harbors a certain percentage of weakness in the way he administers critical options. I sincerely hope that most of AA's decisions are based on shrewdness rather than incompetence. He has won us WC qualification in which we won almost all our games. He has asked for and been offered most of the assistance he requires for the WC, traveling to consult players individually, stings at Liverpool and Man City, renewed contract post WC etc.
I personally refuse to be pessimistic about our chances of progression beyond the group stages.
Much will depend on the mind set of the team as a whole. How collectively ambitious are the players? Are there any cynics amongst the players harboring fears and insecurities? Which players are conditioned to make a hero's difference and are determined to take the world by storm? Time will tell!!!
