We have to pray the group becomes opened with every team on three point. then we will just need at least a draw to qualify since portugal's goal difference sucks. should we beat Germany by a single goal difference and US loses by 2 goals that will take the group to --- Germany 3 points 3 GD, Ghana 3 points 0 GD, US 3 points -1 GD, Portugal 3 points -2 GD. A draw with portugal will then take us through by goal difference no matter what happens with Germany and US.If they draw Ghana and Germany will go through on goal difference. If any team wins Ghana and the winning team goes through.

Kwesi Appiah is so clueless he continues to let this Gyan boy spearhead his attack. Essien and Muntari are also spent forces who should not even be on the bench let alone being liabilities in our mid-field. They cannot run, tackle, or track attackers back. There is no vision in terms of ball passing and distribution.

How can you substitute a versatile player like Christian Atsu, and rather keep an old tired player as Muntari for 90 minutes. Those of you who continue to shower praises on Gyan should bow your heads down in shame for a player who must get 10 chances to be able to convert one! God bless Kwadwo Asamoah always!

In the England-Italy match, crossings were coming in like that for Balotelli, until he decided to go to the back where the ball was ending all the time from the crosses and eventually scattered the net, with that purposely and powerful header sending Rooney and his mates to sleep, depicting the strike of a genius who is reading the angles and directions and foot work of the right winger lobing the ball into the box. Aside of that, we didn't have the height advantage. KPB when he came in, managed to address that challenge.
However, all the 2 goals were conceived from the poor defensive marking of John Boye leaving the door ajar, for the Red,White and Blue to sink us painfully. Boye lacked concentration and didn't have his wits about him.

With Kwadwo asamoah andre ayew and Atsu playing behind Gyan and muntari and rabui in the holding role. Inkoom should be right back. Our CB partnership is the weakest we've ever had. They were responsible for both goals. We're most likely not going to get a single point if we don't do anything dramatic.

I`m just hoping AA still have something under his sleeves to push us through,"a big doubt". Anyway just do something about those defenders who don`t know anything about playing for big points. How can you come into the WC not knowing who your firm 1st choice players will be. You said the Korea match wouldn't influence the initial lineup but yet KP was dropped for Jordan because of his hat trick. Since when has Essien ever been a super sub for you to bring him on to have an impact when US players are tired? You don't see Argentina dropping Messi or Spain dropping Iniesta & Xavi so why did we do it? Also, since AA got the job, I hardly see Badu on the pitch now, why? And what does the coach see in Rabiu, someone tell me please! The setup of our team was wrong, he doesn't understand the role Kojo plays for Juventus because it's very different to the Ghana one. If you want to use Kojo as a LWB/LM, you have to play with 3 CBs to get the most out of him. One of a our most gifted players and we can't use him properly. Furthermore, the whole setup meant our left side was poor and that's where our main strengths were. The thing that's baffled was that AA's tacitcal naivety was made noticeable during AFCON, it's been a year and you haven't improved. What the hell are they teaching you at Man City?

I said it number of times in previous posts, that our defence will be our downfall. I've now truly given up hope on the Black Stars, AA has taken us backwards so I'll congratulate him on that, clown!

Ghana has lost the first game in WC2014 but it is not over. The general player performance and individual display of Ghana soccer were quite good apart from two costly defensive blunders that led to our defeat by the US.

The commander has now performed the final experiment which was way too late into the H-hour. But now, Silent Killer knows the correct nature of things. He has watched the videos of Germany's games and worked out the correct formation. The 4-4-2 formation could be used against Germany if that's what the players are familiar with. Kwadwo Asamoah wants to play forward and can be removed from the left back position into the attacking left mid-fielder position and used as a gear in a 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 to 5-4-1 3-gear formation.

There should be intensive goal-keeping practice in which the Black Star goal-keepers are put through corner kick-saving drills with special assignments for the defense. The defense will go through moves on how to contain slippery forwards. They should practice lots of penalty shots as well as shooting from the edge of the penalty box.

Ghana will defeat Germany and Portugal. Remember WC 2006, we lost 2-0 to Italy and had to defeat a top 10 team , the Czech Republic to qualify for the next round. We will beat Germany and Portugal so that the world can see the greatness of the Black Stars. Silent Killer this is your chance to show the world that losing the first game is not a death sentence nor the end of the world.

GOD BLESS Silent Killer APPIAH and the BLACK STARS and send the Chaldean Archangel Michael to lead them in battle.

I was baffled, but thought we could equalize early and move in to score more goals, but again the equalizer came too late and blame our midfield and defense for the corner kick winner. I am demoralized but hoping for some miracle against Germany. The Black Stars played better soccer than the Americans and wish them every blessing in their next.

You can't just turn 10 guys loose on a football pitch like lost goats in the Saharan desert and expect to win games at this level of competition. The team executed a poor tactical game and had critical mental lapses in key phases of the game. Every play was improvised especially near the box area. They passed the ball frequently and needlessly in front of their own goal creating risks for no possible rewards. It almost felt like the players disliked each other on and off the field. Germany will put a beating on them next week. What a shame for a team that showed so much promise four years ago!

Unbelievable that as soon as the match started 'we' the Black Stars, played backward, 'we' went on instant sleeping and gave the U.S. the ball to score. After that 'we' woke up played with all vigour until 'we' equalized. As if that was not what had been agreed, so "we slept" for a moment again to allow uthe U.S. to score again then 'we' woke but nothing happened again. If 'we' had equallized 'we' would have immediately allowed them to score again.

Whom are 'we' deceiving? Something fishing must have taken place somewhere. This must be investigated by Parliament. Thanks.

The problem with African players is that they are not tactical. They are good physically but lack the science of the game. Germany will use aerial superiority and target swings to specific heads of strikers but our coaches fail to prepare for that. Germans expend little energy because they pass the ball well. African always want to run with the ball so they find themselves spent before 90 mins.
Both goals we conceded were due to low IQ.....1st goal due to weak and lazy tackle and 2nd goal was because of foolish shielding....at least kick it for a throw in, ahhhh ba.

That would be the case if Ghana stokes the FIGHTING SPIRIT of the Black stars till it's the colour blue, the hottest part of fire. Clearly, the defence needs some very hardnosed tightening of the screws at the back. We need some good experience in the mix as well, and the forwards should deliver when the chances are created. Against Germany and Portugal, it looks daunting but every team in the world cup is capable of causing an upset. Spain was clobbered mercilessly. Portugal was mauled frighteningly with Ronaldo left chasing the ball like a koliko. Ghana was shocked into reality that, it's the World cup and you cannot underestimate any team. Every team is there on merit and can score as well as concede goals.
The stars would have to lift their game way up there, they need to step it up like 100 fold and die, literally die against Germany and Portugal.
They should just die for a win against these 2 teams k3k3, cos it can be done.

Why will you as a captain allow the unexperience players to play with you whereas the experience ones are being benched by the coach in so a cruicail match which was going to determin our faith. Talk your coah as a captain and tell him your views and don't just wear the captain's band.
You peole should learn how to shoot from all angles and should get the mood to get into the penalty box to acquire some penalties. The crosses are also not good because it's been played always high, it is not good because you guys are not good in headings. Why not down crosses because that's where you are good at and the opponents can score their own goal like what happened to Brazil with Croatia. Now the task is up to you guys to win the remaing 2 matches. Let your boys know the reason why you are there and tell them lf they seeone in a good shooting point they should shout shoot for him to shoot at goal.L am saying that because Dede Ayew after scoring his second chance he could have shoot at goal but he cross it and the chance got wasted.
