  now you shoot the ball to bounce in front of the keeper sometimes so it makes it difficult for the keeper...Gyan's shot outside the 18..if he had kicked it to bounce in front of keeper he prob would have scored

  I agree to some extend you obviously need to get the ball to the opposing team's final third to get a goal. However if you play a team with a packed defends just as the US did you simply can't be kicking the ball persistently to their goal post hoping one might slip through, what happens if you dont score. The get block they get ball each time you fire shot to their packed defends and they come at you.
  
  A good technical football bench studies a game and makes changes or tweaks the game plan depending on the formation being played by the opposing team. In my opinion in the Ghana v US game, AP got it spot on but i think he was a little too late on his marks when he must have instructed Atsu to reduce the croses to the 18box but rather to try walk the ball and try penetrate the ball through the two row US defends line. We soon got a goal when Ayew dashed it through the 18 amd chipped it in. Sadly we were just unlucky to hold on. Generally I agree to you point but I think in football there's no such thing as master-key that unlock every door.

  The first point I want the writer to know is that playing at the WC is way more complicated than youth soccer. The higher the level of competition the more it is about big boys just kicking the ball into the goal area of the opponent and taking shots at goal. Your youth soccer approach is what Opare was doing kicking aimless long balls into the box of the opponent. I think our main problem is that a lot of our players, the defense especially, are not able to read the game. I have long before our game against USA known for example that the quality of Opare, Inkoom, Boye and Rabiu is not good enough. No coach in this world will get anywhere at WC with this kind of defense. You need 11 players who have soccer skills and ability to read the game on the field to win a WC game. This team is not balanced and the coach is also not the best coach to have.

  We got a serious problem upfront. Many of our coaches prefer to play 1 top. The 1 top being asamoah gyan, who to me is a very useless striker . . . .The The rest is history.

  How can you take shots at goal when you don't have the opening? In football there is strategic time to balloon ball, to build slowly to attack,or to mount fast breaks. All these are determined by circumstances of the game. The task is not just moving a ball forward and taking shots. It is the creating of an opening in a manner that you are likely to take shots and score that is the challenge. That cannot be done just by moving the ball forward and taking shots. You need to look at circumstances in the field of play and play strategies that can enable you create openings to shoot and to score and slowly building is one such strategy. Your claims cannot be true because in 2010 all the two goals we scored against the US were scored through fast breaks - an evidence of the coaches' recognition that fast breaks are applied when the circumstances call for.
