He lied when he says no one influences his selection. I believe someone above him is dictating for him. He must be firm like Maxwell Konadu and Sellas Tetteh. Ghana will have to pay for more in sacrifice to retain Kwasi Appiah.

Whether coach Appiah is timid or not, whether he is indecisive or not, he still remains the best man for the job at the moment in Ghana. Apart from the momentary and disastrous lack of focus which led to an early goal in their first match, the general substance of the performance of the Black Stars - draw or loss, was second to none.

And as far as I am concerned Appiah did a fabulous job in Brazil. Perhaps not the best but under the circumstances in which he had to baby-sit several players who cleary are afflicted with mental problems, who can blame him for not concentrating on and showing his best abilities. Many international football experts and analysts still adjudge the Ghana - Germany match as one of the most brilliant and exciting matches of the tournament. This was a match which Ghana could have easily beaten the team that annihilated the worlds super power of football with a 7 - 1 demolition job.

Had it not been for the criminal element that shattered the mental equilibrium of the entire membership of the playing body in the playing body of the Black Stars team, who knows where our Black Stars would be by now - perhaps in the finals on Sunday?

Those who are railing, ranting and raving like little schoolboys at Appiah are inconsequential little minds, fanatics who do not enjoy football as a sport but are mindlessly and emotionally attached to their team of preference - in this case, the Black Stars. Their logic - if any, are stunted and warped just in the same way as NDC and NPP supporters, fool-soldiers and macho-men.

Le Roy has been bribed to speak nonsense. Akwasi Appiah is no coach. We need a coach with the calibre of Klinsmann. Ghana should at all cost to get a top class coach for the Black Stars.
