The sad thing is that money is being spent on this investigation but nobody will be prosecuted or found guilty because those responsible are pro NDC and everybody knows that they are above all laws in Ghana. Ghana and Asante Kotoko must find ways to honor Osei Kofi and other soccer heros. We can have statues of some of our soccer greats at some parts of the capital or we can have a hall of fame where tourists can go and see pictures and even watch some of the games they played. Guys like Osei Kofi , Robert Mensah, Abedi Pele, Toney Yeboah etc. really did well to put Ghana on the world map of football and they deserve our praise. As for Osei Kofi, to me he was exceptional, no player had the same dribbling ability Osei had and that was why we called him the "wizard", and the Nigerians called him "the man with three feet." Osei was magical, his style was different, Messi and Pele don't even come close. He was the reason all these big teams traveled to play the Black Stars and he was the reason Pele came to Ghana. I am not afraid to say these things because I saw what happened. These folks in charge of sports in the country need to be disciplined.

We always ask sportsmen representing the nation to show patriotism and the willingness to die for their country whenever it becomes necessary. Is this how a grateful nation rewards its patriots? Are we then surprised that the present BS players turned a deaf ear to our pleas to show some patriotic love and zeal for their country of birth at the last WC and refused to play until the appearance fees due them were paid in full? Rev Osei Kofi and his colleagues during their playing days showed exemplary love and patriotism for their country and when the time came for us to return the favor when it was most needed we turned a blind eye to their requests like they were coming from some nonentities.These guys represented their nation for the love of their nation and the sport. They received no monetary rewards. Rev Osei Kofi particularly turned down an EPL professional contract because of love for country and the least we could do was return the same token. Are we surprised that some athletes have changed their nationality to compete for other nations? We shouldn't because they've learned this through hard experience. They don't want to be treated with disdain and disregard and live the last years of their lives as beggars. The nation paid from our scarce national resources for NDC footsoldiers who had no business being at the WC to be in Brazil only for them to seek for political asylum in Brazil when the tournament was over. The question is :"Is Ghana worth dying for"?

That is why the likes of you, who served your nation admirably without holding our dear nation to ransom, were refused visa. They believed you would not come back to Ghana......basically adding you, such a giant of Ghana soccer to the miscreants who managed to get there and refused to return to Ghana.

That is what happens to the citizens of nations who have abundant rich resources and yet claim to be POOR!!!!

Sorry to hear this and hope our elders and leadership will wake up one day and realize that they have let GHANAIANS down......especially our children, who are also being trained to believe they are POOR in every aspect of their lives. What a shame!
