  For the records, it was rather the late footballer Yashidi Yekini of Nigeria who was born in Ghana by a Nigerian (Yoruba) mother to a Ghanaian father.

Adebayor himself has been living in both countries since he was a child. This is not uncommon since Trokosis have been doing this from time immemorial. So, is Adebayor a Ghanaian, a Togolese or a Nigerian? Over to you Joe Lartey !!!

Eh how about the Sidiki Buares, famous headmaster Gbadamosi of Tamasco, etc. This is the West Africa we want to be. Go to Ivory Coast, the President, Alhassane Ouattara is either Burkinabe or Malian.
