Ghana is not trying to steal the ball and hit back with quick, swift passes. They are simply defending. You can't do that.......tweaaaaa! Grant like plavi underestimated afcon. 1. Braimah must watch the ball at all times the minute the ball gets anywhere near the Ghana 18.
2. 2/3 touches for each player. The gh players are holding unto the ball uneccessarily. They must Break, control/pass
3. We know why we said players like Atsu and kwesi appiah shouldn't have been invited to afcon. They simply don't deserve to be there and you can tell by what they are doing on the field. Now you see, abi?
4. Counter Attack: on the ensuing counter, Ghana must do 3 things. A)release the ball thru the left/right Wingers with quick, 1,2/break and pass touches. This will open up the opponents. And then you can get the ball into the 18 box area to score or get penalties.
5. Partnership of awal and mensah at the rear is very good, cool and composed.
6. Glorious scoring opportunities don't come everyday..So when you get an opportunity to score. Think quickly of what you want to do before you waste the ball.

I asked that we stop the blame game,because many a time we Ghanaians are apt to blame everybody but ourselves whenever things go wrong.As professional players, most of our players need no lecture on the need to be fully engaged till the referee signals the enf of proceedings. Times have changed and talent- as if we have a lot, counts for little in a tournament. You need to be fully focused in order to come away with a victory. I hear people talking about our players' became complacency in the second half. Really !!! They simply couldn't match the Senegalese's aggression in the second half, and hanged unto a prayer. They were playing not to lose,as evidenced in the link up play between defense, midfield and offense.

To tell you the truth, nothing broke my heart more than their penchant for giving faulty passes, losing possession in dangerous areas and poorly defending any attack. No coach can help that situation. My brother, you would agree with me that watching our dear Black Stars play is very frustrating. It gets to the point where you wonder whether these guys are for real.

I want to see a strong desire to win, displayed by these boys, then one can defend against any knee-jerk reaction from fans. Honestly the performance they put up today, makes it hard to ward off any salvo hurled from concerned fans, in frustration.

My take on the game:
1). Okay we lost. It's not the end of the world. We have to learn from our mistakes and move on. I'm personally not unduly worried by our loss because I think this might be a blessing in disguise . It is actually a wake up call.
2). My concern though is this. Our officials have always had it wrong when it comes to camping and preparing our team for major tournaments. During the preparation for the 2014 World Cup, our team camped at the backyard of one of our rivals, the US, and they beat us for the first time in 3 games. This time around, they chose Spain . Why did our officials choose to camp the team in wintry Spain to prepare for a tournament being played in the sweltering heat of Africa? While other African teams were camping in other countries in Africa , we jetted off to Spain. Why? It looks like the whole team was flat and lethargic in the second half. Their conditioning was very suspect. And the heat took its toll on them. Mind you, all their trial matches were played in cold Europe. My question to our GFA officials is this: Why did out officials choose to camp the team in Spain? The team looked so tired in the second half. It is high time our officials are made to understand that preparing for a major tournaments is not an opportunity to take a vacation at the nation's expense. It is happening one too often.
Now to the game itself:
3). The team has to be taught how to take set pieces, especially corners properly. With the height disadvantage that we have , you can't balloon all corners towards our opponent's goal and wish for the best. We have to have a strategy.
I think the goalkeeper did not do too bad. We could keep him in other games to build his confidence. He however needs to be taught a proper way to deliver balls to his players.

Avran Grant is the best coach in my opinion. A coach who is able to use a bad team like Ghana's black stars to get a goal against a team like Senegal should be commended rather than being blamed.

AFFUL ON THE RIGHT BACK WAS USELESS, AWAL, RABIUS AND ANY GHANA PLAYERS PLAYING FOR AFRICA CLUBS ARE NOT OF QUALITY ENOUGH TO BE CALLED TO THE BS. THE BS BECAME WEAK BY LEAVING OUT THE CORE; ESSIEN, MUNTARI,BOATENG, PAINSTIL, LEE ADDY, VORSAH AND KWARASAY. THE DAMAGE STARTED BY KWASI APPIAH AFTER THE WORLD CUP. My beef really is why Grant did not respond to the Senegal team changing to a 4-4-2 in the second half? That was what changed the game. There was a tactical switch that needed responding to. If we had gone 4-5-1, we would have effectively countered them and probably won the game. Avam Grant should have earned his money. If the right steps are taken, we can beat Algeria. Let's hope Gjan plays in the next game. We still have a chance

But he opted for enjoying the free ticket to watch the match. Walking football+Coach not taking advantage of the space given to motivate and guide the team. Most of the corner kicks were plaed to the other end for throw ins, and never was any player told to stay there. The Coach who has taken over 100% did nothing except sitting like a spectator. If he can only analyse the match by throwing in the towel then he must stay off for now.
