The joy was short lived because in the same breath they decided to dictate to the coach when it was time for player call up for national assignment. By that foolishness they were setting the coach up for failure. I think he's doing his best with the third rate players at his disposal.

Sammy, in addition to what you have said, what baffled me most was the coach's inability to sense the aerial superiority of the Senegalese. These guys were much taller than us. What our boys should have been told to do was to put the ball on the ground most of the time rather than raising and crossing balls. We got corner kicks; but all of the time they raised those corner kicks rather than short-passing the corners; and given the aerial superiority of our opponents, all the corners were cleared up with ease. After the first half, I thought the coach would sense this and change tactics, but nothing happened.What a dumb ass-hole?
Secondly, Avram Grant doesn't look like a winner or a champion. His body language and his appearance and maneuvers look more or less like a loser. He lacks charisma! Any time his face shown up on the screen, it conjured up something like a beleaguered, battered, and bruised caoch - in short a loser.

He has this far refused but insist on critiquing others who are actually doing something. Kuffour, T.Yeboah, S.Appiah, Polo do not necessarily have to be coaches or start off as coaches at the top.There are too many vacant positions out there not be able to find a niche where they can feel comfortable at.Until then I am not interested in hearing from commitment shy ex players what others are doing wrong.

No matter what formation we play with foreign players showing up a week or two before game time is not helping us. i bet you if grant put local players for about six months with this formation and they play together, they will excel in tournaments than this so call know it all foreign players. look at what happens at tournaments? countries with local player that play together always perform better than those with supper stars playing in europe.
