By the above, Ghana can never meet Algeria again until at the finals as it happened in 1982. Ghana played Libya at the group stages and then in the finals and won the cup. That was the last cup. History will repeat itself.Ghana would also avoid both Cote D'Ivoire and Tunisia. These are the three favorites. So the path of Ghana to the finals is to overcome Guinea and either of the two Congos in the semis. It is most likely History will repeat itself and Ghana would meet a North African country,Algeria as we did in 1982 with Libya, having already met in the group stage. Both matches in 1982 ended in draws and Ghana won on penalties. So the two matches in Equtorial Guinea will have similar results as in 1982, that victories for the Black stars. Remember the exploits of a certain Abedi Ayew Pele in the Libyan tournament. Now we have two Ayews. Shall we be lucky again this time round also?
