Grant must sit out dede, atsu, gyan in this game. The concentration should be on the defending and making sure we don't conceede any goals, or threats to the Ghana 18YARDBOX. Let jordan7, amartey6, acheampong11, badu, otoo9, accam10, gyimah and jonathan 4/5 fill in and play. 442 counter attack with special emphasis on ourndefence and making sure we don't CONCEEDE any goals. The players must be aggressive and non complacent, 2touches
Semis vs. Eq.Guinea
1. Coversion from freekicks, corners and crosses is very poor!
2. Faking/attracting fouls in and around the opponents 18yardbox is also very poor.
3. Our defenders must play with discipline, attention to detail in keeping the ball outside of the ghana 18yardbox at all times! Otherwise we will cry like tunisians did. Avram must work on these before we play Eq.Guinea.
4. We saw how the eq.guineans FAKE penalties and are able to ATTRACT fouls/freekicks around the Tunisian 18yardbox.
5. Avram must use this game to seal the defence, don't allow any danger around the Ghana 18YARDBOX.
6. Mark out Balboa, and their #10 from getting anywhere near the Ghana 18. These 2 are their most dangerous players.
7. 442 counter attack. Ghana must finish off the guineans in the first half.
8. Ghana 1 nil win is all we need in this semi final game. Concentrate on TIGHTENING the defence!

Ghanasportsonline.com understands that a presidential jet will fly some government officials to Equatorial Guinea to watch the Black Stars Semi-Finals game with the host at the Estadio de Malabo.

Ghanasportsonline.com sources reveal that the contingent who are expected to leave Ghana on Thursday morning will return just after the game.

Sources also disclosed that Thursday’s trip will include some bigwigs in the Football fraternity as well as some Club and FA officials.

Notable names revealed to Ghanasportsonline.com’s sources included Mr. Yaw Boateng Gyan and Alhaji MND Jawula.

Ghanasportsonline.com revealed on Sunday that the government jetted some officials to Equatorial Guinea to catch a glimpse of Ghana’s quarterfinals clash with Guinea.

This however raised concern about the waste of national resources following the recent harsh economic conditions in the country.

While it is wrong for the players to be disrespected (i.e., insulted), respect is earned not awarded as a gift. How many soccer players do you see on the field with their underwears on display? It is only Jordan who is actively making sure to be pulling down his shorts to actively display his underwear! Is that a respect of our country? When showcasing his underwear becomes a priority, how is he going to concentrate on the game?

Remember,Jordan is playing for a country, not his family. We will like our players to respect our flag. That is also shown by how they wear the uniform and how they carry themselves on the field (sportsmanship and respect of the opponents and referees included).

One other reason why fans are like that toward Jordan is that, he is essentially not effective but he always got to play. Now, that was the fault of the coach.

Asamoah Gyan is a goal poacher and not a formidable striker so learn that, Muhammad Nlai, Anas seidu, George Alhasan Great olmpics, Peter Lamptey and many many more poachers plays like that. Talk about Muhammad Polo, talk about Francis Kumi, talk about opoku Nti, talk about Nketia yawson, talk about Douglas Tagoe, Talk about, Talk about Adolf Armah, Talk about papa Arko, Adae kyenkyenhene, Mamah Aquah, Robert Hammond, Bannerman and others, this people are well talented footballers who can take on defenders and act as suppliers to Opoku afriyea and all those poachers to score. I used to play like Gyan but i found myself at nowhere in the game like a passenger as some of you may call it but then i learned for about two and a half more years on how to become involved in the game itself under Coach Asabe Boakye Golden pods, Coach John Taylor also know as Gika Giko or Lapanto from Ebosua DWARFS who coached me at Paint division of Gihoc teaming up with Ben Kayode, Bortea, Apleh and Tieku. I learned how to go forward and back, keep ball possession and taking on defencers and find open spaces. And this paid veryu well when i went to Akotex in Akosombo Textile Limited under coach Adeebi. If i had not taken time to learn that way i was no where though i was scoring beautiful goals but not in the game. Abukari said Goal na ma fife but there is was Osei Kofi, there was Yaw sam and there was Kwame Adarkwa, Malik Jabir, Joe Sam and this people are as romantic as ever in the history of Ghana football so no doubt Abukari when given that wicked pass will strike a thunder includin Nlai and Anas Seidu where Muhammad polo can take on 5 defenders, dribble them and give a pass to Anas Seidu or Muhammad Nlai you know the ball will be at the back of the net.And when i finished my lessons on how to become a very good footballer i teamed up with Selas Tetteh, Emmanuel Owusu Kankan, Nkruma, Akore the Akore brothers, Ofosu Hene Attah Kakra, Joe Me know Addison, Kweku Duku, Yaw Duku, Sugu me yem aboagye, Joe kpalokpa and football was so beautiful to the heighest degree. So please understand Asamoah Gyan he cannot adopt to play like that because its though not too late to learn but its a completely different ball game which is time cosuming but he can still learn if he wants to but its difficult to do so am telling you what i know. So please just accept what you get from him at least he is scoring goals and making efforts in scoring and that is all we can pray for.

No one cares if he does it on the street but he needs to be serious when he is on the field playing for Ghana. I bet you are one of those people that critized Adiyiah when he was not performing in the national. I was one of them. I bet you have also questioned why Adoma should be in the national team. But when it comes to Jordan then its war between his dad and somebody. Just as we critized others, we have the right to critize him too. He is not contributing anything to the team. The coach can try him in other position. It may work out for him. We are not asking him to score but sometimes a simple pass will make us happy.

Asamoah Gyan has spoilt more chances than Jordan, yet no one talks about it. These tirades are directed at Abedi, not Jordan. In the first match against Senegal, Jordan gave the pass to Atsu and he was fouled for the penalty. He again gave Atsu another pass and he missed. Finally he gave another pass to Dede and the keeper saved. Because he missed that header towards the end people started crucifying him, Asamoah missed 3 chances in our match against Algeria before scoring the last one. Jordan had only one chance and missed. Against South Africa, Jordan had one chance and the keeper saved and missed another chance. Asamoah Gyan missed not less than 4 chances in that match. Against Guinea, Asamoah Gyan again missed at least 3 chances, yet no one complained. It is true that Jordan is a young player, but it is wrong to pick on him as if he is completely useless.

It's the job of the coach(es) to deploy Jordan in the position where he'd be of maximum help to the team; may be in a midfield position or even as a decoy to draw defence away from Gyan or other power forward(s). Fans of every sport can be mean to their heroes: it's always " what have you done for the team lately". Unfortunately some fans like to make very rude & uncouth comments about their sports heroes: they never show any empathy for the players. It's not easy for any player, let alone a young player, to be under a 'national microscope'. The truth is that some Ghanaians actually enjoy being mischievous and there is nothing another person can do about it because they have freedom of expression. If those who deride Jordan can understand that even at his present level he is already successful as the top striker of a 1st division team in France for which he is well paid unlike those who criticize him, they will show some respect.

He does well coming off the bench to hang onto the ball to kill time, etc. There isn't enough sting in his shot at the moment ; he needs to work on that to be a good striker. He is good at providing assists. Maybe they should try to develop him as a right winger #7. He is very young so time is on his side.

I have so much respect for Ghanaian supporters and fans in general, Supporters and fans have football interest at heart. What the supporters are doing and saying regarding Jordan Ayew is nothing strange in the history of Ghana football. Jordan Ayew is lucky to get away with tantrums, in the past when you miss a vital opportunity and waste a chance of scoring a vital goal, banana,s oranges, tomatoes, garden eggs and all sorts of vegetables are thrown at you on the field showing their frustration and those was the era of Ghana football fans and enthusiasts, they do that not because they hate the player or disrespect him but they do that so you can correct your mistakes and do better next time. Even Abedi Pele his icon father knows that, Ola body knows that and so do many many old time players in Ghana football. The problem with Jordan Ayew is immaturity and undecided on how to handle the ball as a striker within the penalty areas and how to play as a team rather than going for individual glory. AvranGrant should sit him down and coach him on how to communicate effectively with the rest of the team on the field. Dede Ayew or Andre is more matured in handling the ball within the penalty area and unselfishly give some wonderful passes for someone to score and this is a strikers instinct at times. When i was playing football i always aims and play to the amusement of the supporters and fans so i was the supporters favorite but at the same time if i go wrong or miss a vital chamce to score i come out with all sorts of criticisms and sticks not because they hate and despise me but they want me to do it better next time. Please the Ghanaian supporters and they will back you all the wa. We all saw when Asamoah Gyan missed that penalty in that vital dying minute opportunity against Uruguay and another one against Zambia in the African Cup of nations. There were barrage of insults bestowed upon him including his late mom asking him to stop taking penalty, he almost retired from international football but as patriotic as he is he has managed a very strong come back scoring some fantastic goal and putting some smiles in the faces of the entire Ghanaian supporters and fans who has made a U turn on praising Asamoah Gyan much more than ever before and forgetting and forgiving him for that fateful errors. So all i want Jordan to do from now if giving the opportunity is to try and impress the supporters, take all chances when it comes, score more goals to turn things arround because Ghanaian supporters will not keep quite unless you perform better. Good luck for Ghana against Equatorial Guinea, trust me the players are hungry than ever before and they will be lucky not to concede 4 goals in the end of that semi finals and go on to lift the Cup in the end. Avram Grant is yet to know who Ghanaian supporters are and am sure he will get used to their antics and tantrums for a very good reason.Before the game against Guinea i was the the first person to advice them of dropping Jordan and start with Kwesi appiah and Agyeman Badu including Keeping John Boye to team up with Jonathan Mensah and keep Andrea ayew on the field for as long as it goes but someone said in reply to my comments in Croydon that i talk too much and giving lengthy statement which they already knows without they knowing am talking from footballers point of views and when they put appiah in he went on to demonstrate to everyone and the massive supporters that he is in to make a huge impact and he did without question.
