Anytime he is being heckled, match officials protect him with yellow cards just to slow his opponents down. If he is too good, how many world cups has he won? I think he had played in at least, four world cup and why can't he carry his nation on his shoulders to win football prestigious trophy? He is good but he fall short under some great players like Ronaldo of Brazil etc.

The teams who end up winning the wcup and continental titles often have the best quality local leagues. If messi or ronaldo are the best ever, let them show me their wcup trophies. I will take Pele, Maradona,.zidane in their prime over messi and ronaldo anyway..how can you say Michael Jordan or kobe or magic are the best but they never won an nba title? The ultimate prize in soccer is the wcup trophy. So to be considered the greatest player of all time. The first criteria is: where is your wcup trophy? If you don't have that on your resume, then NEXT! .

Those arguing stupidly like that ought to tell us if Ronaldo's Portugal has ever won the WC. Or if Opon Weah's Liberia has even ever qualified for the WC. Or if Johan Cruyff's Netherlands have touched the WC. Germany won last year's WC, so which German player was better than Messi? A country not winning a WC cannot be used as a basis for its special player not being the best in his time. For all Messi haters out there, would you prefer watching a Diego Costa or a Hazard as opposed to watching a Messi let the ball do his bidding? Soocer is an art and the finesse involved is what makes certain players stand out as exceptional. Soccer isn't always about just kicking the ball and running after it like it was in England in the sixties.

Regardless of what anyone would say, even the creme de creme of soccer - Pele, Maradona, Zidane are all doffing their hats off for this maestro of a footballer, Messi , who conducts his choir with flair, passion, EXTRAORDINARY skill, determination, finesse and magic. Simply put, he is the best, and we should all be glad to be witnessing this gifted prodigy of our generation. Enjoy him.....
