  I have always believed that every region ought to have a local airport but $23 million for a runway is totally outrageous.
  
  It is said that 1 kilometer of asphalted two lane road costs $400,000 in Ghana which is the highest in West Africa. Assuming that the runway is 4 times as wide and only 1 km long that should be $1.6 million dollars. Assuming that the runway had a base of reinforced concrete similar to American highways that should put the total cost at not more than $4.5 million dollars. Labor costs are 20 times cheaper in Ghana.

  Yes they are very distracted. Why is the Ghana league sit waiting on matches when schedule is very congested with midweek, FA cup and Africa assignments ?
