He has speed, yes. He has the body, no one is disagreeing on that; on the contrary, he lack ball sense. Watch his mates and tell me which of our forward is he better than. How in the world any way can he even think of giving an ultimatum? He wants something to be done? Comparing him with Solomon Asante doesn't work like that. They play different position. Solomon Asante is a right winger, whilst Oduto is a typical number nine, center forward.

Oduro has speed as a striker, but have the tendersys to run to meet balls infront. There is a better way, he needs practice for. Receuve the ball first and use your speed to out pace the defense. There is another brilliant beautiful way of outwiting a defense. Only few players know this. Opoku Nti of kotoko used to do that, but I am a masrer of it. Let your behind leg receive the ball as you are taking of simultaneously, the speed comes with your body speed, as the ball climb over your body, dropping infront of you the striker. As the hit the ground, the striker hits the ball unespectedly, only few keepers can save that ball. I wish I AM ON A FIELD TO DEMONSTRATE THAT. It is an effective strategy for a fully mark strikers. The ball climbs over your body as you take of and drop on your feet or infront. Calculating precisely the hit will go into the net. Keepers get confuse about that, because they can read you.

The honest truth is that Oduro would not only start for Canada the moment he switches, but would probably help them in World Cup qualification. He is a good player, probably on the same level as David Accam, and it probably stings him that Accam is getting caps and he is not. By the way, it is not a slight on Accam. Accam's success in Sweden got him in the door to the Black Stars, and has stayed there after leaving for the US. Oduro has had some big goal scoring seasons in MLS, but it did not get him much of a look.

Which Oduro are you talking about? This boy is not good enough. His place is the MLS. Period. Moreover he is old - about 35. Watch him play. He has speed but cannot last beyond 30-35 minutes to be effective. His only asset is speed for about 30 mins. How can re replace any of the young ones. Needs water to hydrate his engines after every run . I have watched him more than 20 times & he is not BS material. Canada may take him because they practically have nobody.

I am not saying Oduro should replace the younger players, just that he is currently on the level with Accam and a guy like Asante and that if I was him I would be frustrated with similar players getting more chances than him. Oduro gave Club America and Alajuelense fits with his speed in the CONCACAF Champions League. It might not mean much outside North America, but it means that he should be impactful if he changes his affiliation to Canada or the US. CONCACAF is an odd federation. If a team can get to the final six in qualifying, then four of them go to the World Cup. Canada only has to get by tiny Belize and then finish above Hondruas and El Salvador or Curacao to get to that stage. Oduro would absolutely help them do so.
