Ali should have been encouraged to go back to school after the injury . He was just 17 so school should have been easy. He should also have tried to do something for himself instead of self pity. He is not totally paralyzed. ... read full comment

He is not totally paralyzed. He should have realized that it's up to him to choose the quality of life he wants to lead. He could have become a sports journalist etc. Recently a player collapsed during a premiership game due to a defective heart. Doctors told him he cannot play again and he was a junior international for England! He accepted his fate and decided to go back to school for a degree. Footballers must understand that there should always be a plan B in life
