  We need at least a 3/4quota for local players. We have local goalies and even players in ghana who have form and even better than overseas players. Grant can use the Internet to monitor players. Why travel aimlessly? You say your doors are open bit we don't see no local based players. Not even 1. Why? Against minnows like rwanda etc. Grant must call some local players to partner the foreign based players. This is how you will know which of these local based players are.ready to play with the bigger teams.

  The idea of qouta for local players is a very backward one. If this country is seriosly interested in the Black Stars making an impressive impact on the international scene, it makes practical common sense that players should be selected for the team based on the merit of performance and not where they play.

  I misunderstood your point and assumed the worst.(not my best quality)I hope I didn't offend you.Anyway you are right that quota system will be counter productive.My whole beef is that Coach Grant seem to have written off the entire local league all together.And to be compounded by his agent's dismissive remark about the league, it rubbed many of us in the wrong way.With the exception of one player all the players on his selection are the products of our local league and we may not sound like it sometimes but we KNOW our worth so I will not take any stupid talk from any outsider.I hope the Coach will settle down and get to work with our league in his sight.We are open to constructive criticism just not careless and uninformed pronouncements.

  The benefits of training with an international player like Gyan,Acquah Dade and Afful are priceless for the local players and does wonders for the self esteem of the international players.I will rather have a local player on the bench learning from the masters than Accam or Wakaso taking up space on the bench doing nothing.

This will build their confidence..we saw local based players at wcup 2006 didn't we?

  For a coach to say categorically that only "few of the young players have a good future" is a very big statement!!! That shows you how low Ghana football has sunk. Kwesi Nyantekyi should wake up and do his job!
