When the coach is taking extended vacations with a lolli gag attitude then that is bound to rub off at camp.Hold Avram accountable before he leads us to a bitter disappointment.

I write to correct an erroneous impression at the tail end of this story concerning Coach Afranie developing Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari and John Mensah. These were young players from the Schools and Colleges. They were handled by their various coaches and Physical Education Teachers before they were coopted into the various juvenile teams. Coach Afranie did not handled these guys at the school level. For Christ's sake players like Muntari and John Mensah graduated from OKESS. This institution was well known for soccer and players like Kenneth Sarpong, Lawrence Kainya, Mallam Yahaya to mention but a few passed through. Coach Afranie should give credence to Coaches like Kwame Amoako, Coach Isaac Edusei, Coach Asare Lartey and other coaches from the Schools and Colleges who produced these players. Thanks

Thanks for the correction. P.E. teachers' contribution is seldom appreciated in the development of sportsmen and women. Even at most Inter.House and Inter-colleges competition the centre of appreciation s normally given to the DCEs and politicians. No mention is made of the organiser and trainer.
Back to OKESS, Osam Doudo is best known as a soccer coach than a Sportsman. In his days as Sportsmaster of OKESS he produced many national athletes, both men and women.
