Saanie Daara is not making sense. You are trying to create a brand by using inferior soccer balls so you think its right for the local league.
Mitre is being used in Ghana because its CHEAP. Go to Walmart its $5.

Saanie Daara should leave technical matters to technical people. He is only a sports journalist and not a coach. The mitre balls are suitable for a certain type of terrain and not all terrains. If the teams refuse to use the mitre balls, will Daara form teams to play in our league. Players suffer as a result of playing those balls on the hard surfaces we have in Ghana. The love for money should not imperil our players unnecessarily.

Unless these are specially adapted for professional football matches, Mitre ball (like the one displayed in the picture) are the cheapest and weakest footballs. Only parent who are on tight budgets buy them for their children ...

Only parent who are on tight budgets buy them for their children. Even at basic youth level, specially adapted footballs, definitely not Mitre, are used over here.
Okay, I am not making a par to par comparison, but I suppose we are talking national level football in a country that has and sells crude oil among many other endowments.
