The case is whether or not Rashid ever visited the Mallam and wheter the Mallam caused Jerry's injury or not. The lawyer's interpretation of the case is wrong. Therefore the case can be prosecuted in court.

I hate to agree with Ghanafuo but he is right. Sumaila can only sue the Mallam for defamation of character. This is a civil suit not criminal.

Do we believe people can cause harm to others spiritually or not? If yes, then why can't the mallam be prosecuted, since he is not accused but he rather commited himself. That is why Africa is not moving forward, because we allow some people to cause harm spiritually with impunity, and they have the nerve to boast, so that people would be scared of them. What enough evidence is needed before a person who boasts of causing harm to another human being spiritually can be prosecuted? If we don't have that law in Ghana, as the good lawyer put it, what is he waiting for, before he can advise the authorities to make that law, to safe people's life and destiny? Do we think as human beings at all?
