  5 groups winner takes all is unfair to Africa. I believe there should be an extra slot for the best runners up to complete as happens in Europe North South America and the Coca zones. No wonder some strong football nations in Africa are always at risk of missing out whilst some average football nations in other zones stand more chance of qualifying

  Muntari is a name that touches raw nerves anytime it's mentioned in connection with the Black Stars because of the disaster in Brazil. Brazil is in the rear-view mirror but we are looking at Russia ahead. Which one matters now? I've spent a lot of time in You Tube watching our Brazil matches. His overall performance was undisputably sterling! In life, at times we cut our nose to spite our face. Muntari is a guy who knows essentially why he is in a jersey. Look at his tailor-measured assists to Atsu and Gyan in our match with Germany; his power-laden shots at goal in our match against USA. At the time we needed so badly to beat Germany and were 2 - 1 ahead, see how painfully, selfishly Jordan attempted to score when Gyan was waiting for a pass to make it 3 - 1. Bottom line, Muntari knows why he wears a jersey!!! Whatever happened in Brazil is gone. I understand it was nasty but now we need the calibre of his kind in Russia. Let's hold our nose and invite him. Let him reject the invitation, which I doubt he would do. Massa, ka no kor3, WE NEED THIS SONOFABITCH.

  Sam was a student who attended FIVE secondary schools before his sixth form. His father never gave up on him. Even just before his O Level, he was expelled but was allowed to take his exams. Mr Osei asked Sam's dad why he was wasting his time and energy on Sam. His answer? "My boy is academically good". Sam is today a doctor in the US. Muntari stinks to hell but he "knows why he wears a jersey". Yes, "WE NEED THIS SONOFABITCH".

  I would like to agree with you but to be fair, 2014 was the first time Africa was able to get two teams past the group stage. Honestly speaking, the two teams, Nigeria and Algeria came out of relatively easy groups. I think Africa has to consistently get more than one team out of the group before we start shouting for more slots. In fact, in South Africa in 2010 we had six teams and only Ghana progressed. South Africa was the host and their failure to get out of the group was a bit embarrassing. I am not ready to advocate for more slots just yet.

Just look at the quality of soccer infrastructure in most african countries? Caf always has a problem finding hosts for afcon. These greedy and stupid presidents don't even have the brains to invest in sports/soccer infrastructure

Their own leaders can do what they want and still be worshipped like they are "gods" They have the "vote" but do not know the value. You give them money, food, car etc is enough to get their vote. POOR GOVERNANCE=POOR SOCCER=POOR EVERYTHING.
