Yes, football has gone professional, it does not mean players should paid hefty sums of money to play for their country. Players are fed, housed, transported and therefore allowances are enough, paying them $8000-10,000 is more than enough to play for their country, I think $1000 is fair, after all they are professionals with bigger clubs with bigger pay- playing for ones country is an honor and should be done with pride, loyalty and patriotism, that's what I call doing and dying for ones country (nationalism).

However, sometimes common sense dictates that the comments can wait to be spewed at a timely moment. What if suddenly, following these comments, the players decided to play poorly and loose all their matches. Will Nunoo be prepared to bare his aging legs to play for the country?

Everywhere you go , Ghana's football is praised, that is the present crops contribution to selling the country playing outside are perhaps the best crop of Ambassadors we have, it is far much better than dying for a country where officials live opulent life styles and ride in expensive cars than Nkrumahs time. This is where democrazy has brought us . Who could live that kind of life during Nkrumahs time and not get arrested ?
