I don't really get the thinking that Astu and Adiyiah have been destroyed by big clubs. Astu failed at lower clubs, Everton and Bournemouth, too. Adiyiah also failed at much lower clubs. The competition in Europen soccer is fierce, much beyond just glimpses of talent. Clubs in Europe pay big money and expect players to perform consistently. The main problem with a lot of our players, including Atsu, is that they play kick and run. Kick and run is however not good for small players, especially against bigger and faster players. The strength of small players is ball procession, quick changes in speed and direction, and creativity. Kick and run works in Ghana because majority of players in Ghana are small but not in Europe where players are bigger and faster.

Kick and run is simply what we used to call "stomach direction" when we were kids and something we hated from our teammates. Another way to look at is a style that "spoils formation" and make teammates not enjoy playing with you. It's hard to imagine how professionals too do it without knowing it. A kick and run player relies on space, one direction and speed only. When the space is closed down he'e stucked. His direction is predictable so he's easy to defend against. His nemesis is an opponent who is faster and stronger. This style works for stronger and faster players because it's direct and no nonsense. Ronaldo is an example of a kick and run player. But when you are small, you need to improvise and be tricky at all times. You need to make your opponent really do some thinking to defend against you. A really good first touch is important for such a player. Body swerve and accurate passing and shooting are other required skills. Pretty much the basis of soccer. It's not complicated. Messi does it all the time. Abedi Pele had that style. Aden Hazard is another player who has this style too.

Baba has problems with with defending at the back, and we all saw it, so what is your problem.We all want our players to succeed,but we have to be realistic.

Dede decided not to be swept off his feet by the juicy offers of big clubs and chose to stay at Swansea after the first half of the English league to maintain his form.

How can a player of Atsu's caliber (MVP @ è last AFCON) be warming benches abroad. Get a team that will respect you, boost your confidence, get you to greater heights, etc. because you have a bright future.

They were all rumours, with the ecception of Sunderland's £10m offer. Recently we heard of WestHam's £20m offer,which Swansea denied.Do you think if Liverpool (Dede's darling club) makes an offer, Dede will not grab it? Atsu simply cannot make in the epl,and that is no big deal.We have had players who were good in other clubs, but struggled in the epl.Shevchenko, Balotelliv,Eto, Sallah,vDiouf(MVP 2 times) and Loic Remy.
