2. Nations like brasil, Germany, england, Argentina etc don't solicit monies from their sports ministers for normal games, friendlies snd even qualifiers. Maybe during tournaments but the financial support.from their respective govts is indirect. The various fa' rely on the successful soccer brand their nations has chalked over the yrs to generate revenue needed to manage their various natl. Teams. So shy can't gfa do tje same? Or they simply being greedy And want to take Ghanaian taxpayers for a ride?
3.possible sources of gfa revenues include those from friendlies, sponsors, caf and fifa, merchandise sales, media rights and publications etc....so after all these you gfa still need cssh support from the govt? U are fucking crazy!
4. GFA always capitalization on our love of the game and for bstars to seek more unnecessary money from sports ministry ? GFA knows it's election yr so they are ready to squeeze the current ndc govt for all they can get. If u don't give us money, bstars will fail to qualify and the soccer loving ppl of ghana won't vote for you. See how gfa is encouraging division in political interference? Over to you fifa!

I'm with the government on this. Nii lante should deal with. Should I become president, my first action will be banning Ghana from international tournaments. Anyone interested in football should go to the stadium and watch kotoko and hearts.

The Black Stars have put Ghana on the world map. Believe me, the ordinary man knows nothing of Ghana but the Black Stars. They don't know about Mahama or Nil Lante. Yes, to some Ghanaians it doesn't matter if our national team doesn't qualify for Russia, but for some of us, we are passionate about our soccer and the Black Stars. Micho is right, "soccer to some of us Ghanaians is a national treasure and should be handled like a diamond"
Our poilitics is in shambles, riddled with corruption and greed, with the president making car gifts to supporters left and right, yet we claim we are poor and unable to pay workers. Our economy is in shambles with just one single person having our government pay him 51 million dollars for no work done. Our educational sector is also a disaster, with graduates mostly going unemployed. I could go on and on. The only shinning area and a source of joy to Ghanaians is our soccer.
I know not every Ghanaian is passionate about soccer. My wife for instance will be very happy if we don't play soccer any where in the world. She doesn't care for soccer. She is not alone in this because I've read sentiments like hers on this site. But for some of us, soccer is a passion. I tell you one thing for sure, if Ghana fail to qualify for the WC in Russia, Mahama and his gov't will pay for it some way somehow. If this Nii Lante guy has evidence of corruption, he surely could go about it in a descent way. To me, his motives go beyond righting any wrong. He better be careful. He is treading on dangerous grounds, on our national tresure. Nyantakyi at least has achieved a lot for Ghana, three unprecedented and continuous qualification to the WC. What has Nii Lante achieved in his life time? I am waiting for an answer.

Somebody has to take his time to sit him down to break it down for him to comprehend the repercussions his actions are subjecting Ghana football to. He should remember that Ghanaians will never forget and forgive him for his myopic deeds. He may think that he is the minister and therefore no one can wound or harm him but I assure you, you are kidding with Ghanaians and their football...anything is possible so be advised.

I hate watching Wakasu just fire a long ball from center thinking it will enter the net, what is wrong with him? The coach need to talk to him. Jordan Ayew, instead of passing or crossing the ball on time, he wants to drive all the way to the pole and score. Atsu will over dribble and later misfire or loose the ball. For Harrison Aful, a ball bounce back from corner kick towards you, instead him to reset the play wants to go for goal from the center and misfired. These things all costs us games and they must know better. There is a general problem with the team in my view. Dede and Gyan work better together but Dede was absent in this case. They are playing like average players and not stars we deem to know.
