Afranie could hsve afforded plane if he so wished.. l know his children abroad and even some players he trained and coached who could have even hired a full jet to transport him. Go to other countries like america and europe and ask if their publics figures go and cry to government to take care of them.. Get your life in order Polo and stop looking to government for help.. He never used cane on us as a class three pupil teacher, he was approachable and interesting to talk to. I remember running to catch up with him on my way to school one afternoon, you could not do that in those days.
I know him to be a very friendly humble, friendly person. He would motivate U to do what is right without shouting or using cane to beat u. He would lower himself to your level making u feel comfortable

It was not save because of the long distance. Sending him to hospital by air would have improved his chances to survive.

For all you know neither the GFA nor the government was aware that the celebrated Coach was been transfer to Okomfo Anokye for them to suggest a flight or not. Then again is Korle Bu not the final resort as far as medical attention is concern in Ghana. Why was he been transferred to Kumasi. This is purely the decision of the family therefore the GFA and Government should not be blame for the road accident. An accident is an accident and can happen anywhere. It's just unfortunate that Coach.E. K. Afranie met his untimely death this way. May the soul of this great coach rest in perfect peace.

It is only unfortunate that it was involved in that tragic accident. It could have happened if he was flown. There is no guarantee that the plane or helicopter would have made it safely.

Therefore it is self-serving for Polo to suggest that Afranie somehow deserved better than being transported in an ambulance instead of being flown in a plane to Kumasi for treatment. Hopefully, Polo, a usually thoughtful person, will see the folly in his statement and walk it back.
