Here we go again. Ghanaians are quick to invoke God into everything but after all the church attendances, we are mostly unproductive at work, take little bribes and steal from the Government full time.

God is going to bless every player, person, coach or country (who calls on him) under only one condition: that they will put their God-given talents to work; i.e. I mean, working hard. If we sit on our lazy behinds and do nothing (i.e. doing just enough to get bye is just like doing nothing) I do not believe God will help us win anything.

Football in the world has progressed beyond most of our old players. If you doubt this, take a look at the EPL and determine how many Ghanaians are actively playing. We the fans sit on GhanaWeb with all sorts of ridiculous comments like: ‘God will do this and that for the players’, ‘we a praying for them’ etc. Get real people, everybody in the world is calling on that same God. That means that he is very busy. He surely will not help us if we do not try to help ourselves. If we keep fielding players who have outlived their usefulness, we are in for a quick exit from the group stage in AFCON!

A quality player is one who is playing in a credible league and features regularly. At this point, Ghana does not have any player like that! If a player is playing in a 'no name league' which does not want to pay you or comes of the bench in a second division team somewhere, that is not quality!!

A quality player is one who is playing in a credible league and features regularly. At this point, Ghana does not have any player like that! If a player is playing in a 'no name league' which does not want to pay you or comes off the bench in a second division team somewhere, that is not quality!!
