  It is a way to let "B" teamers get a chance to really test themselves in a competition.
  It also tests the ability of certain nations to host a tournament.

  To harmonize the minds of local players with Chan. All African players play in Europe hence the difficulty for local players to be called up as they are seen as inferior players, thus the coming of Chan. It is not bad at all.

  to test local lgs/ wat is good for the goose is also good for the gander so ask yourself why chan isnt used in other continents except africa? caf shold be pressing these national fa's to invest in soccer infrastructure n coaches so african teams, players, refs can also compete like their compatriots in other continents.....they dont do chan, so why africans engaging in chan? is it to make money for some ppl in caf or wat? blindly create a needless tournamnt just to solicit monies?

  The Chan is for local players playing in their domestic nations. Under now reason why Chan should change overnight and include players of a nation playing elsewhere. What difference would it be in talking about Afcon and Chan if foreign based players are put on the pedestal to play in Chan? Fatau go back to Ghana and join a local team or give other keepers chance to shine too.
