Daily Star: Aston Villa are hoping to clinch the £10m deal for Ghana striker Jordan Ayew over the weekend. The 23-year-old, who plays for French Ligue 1 side Lorient was hoping to fly into Birmingham late last night. But Villa were still waiting to hear if their offer had officially been accepted and the player had been given clearance to jet out to discuss personal terms. Former Marseille star Ayew scored 15 goals for Lorient last season. Villa boss Tim Sherwood is desperate to bolster his attacking options following the £32.5m transfer of top scorer Christian Benteke to Liverpool.
Guardian: Aston Villa are closing in on the signing of Jordan Ayew from the French side Lorient as Tim Sherwood attempts to rebuild his squad following the sale of Christian Benteke to Liverpool. The Ghana striker, 23, flew into the UK on Friday to discuss personal terms after Villa submitted a bid of around £9m for a player who scored 12 goals in Ligue 1 last season. Swansea, whom Ayew's brother Andre joined earlier in the summer from Marseille, are also understood to have shown an interest but the second oldest son of the Ghana legend Abedi Pele appears set on a move to the Midlands.
Daily Mirror: Aston Villa have opened talks with Ghana striker Jordan Ayew, who is due in Birmingham ahead of a £9m deal. We revealed earlier this week that boss Tim Sherwood had held a transfer summit to discuss spending following the sales of stars Christian Benteke and Fabian Delph to Liverpool and Manchester City. And the Midlands club have now stepped up their move for Ayew, after offering around £9m to French side Lorient. The 23-year-old scored 15 goals last season in Ligue 1 and can play a variety of roles across the front line. Ayew's brother, and fellow forward, Andre has already moved to the Premier League this summer, joining Swansea from Marseille.

Jordan n'est pas encore 'grandi'. Il a 24 ans mais il a toujours besoin de son grand frère à côté de lui.
Jordan is not yet 'grown'. He is 24 years old but always needs his big brother next to him.

Ok, the news true for sure. Aston Villa got their man. For now the 9nly Ghanaian playing for a big club in a bigger competitive league EPL is Jordan Ayew. ... Haters go shake, them go whisper your progress.... them go deny the fact even the truth stirs at them. .... but then when you flop a bit ... they are ready to pounce... ready to broadcast your low points.. these are the attributes of a hater, so if you know you have these traits. . Then l am afraid. .... the hate demons are having a free load on you
Good luck Jordan Ayew, I wish you well in your new endeavor . It's a new challenge of course ,but keep a strong mind and remain focus. You will be a success.
