French Ligue II side Lorient wants 10 million Euros for Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris, who has been in hot demand from several clubs in Europe.
Burnley are interested in bringing the Ghanaian to Turf Moor following the relegation of Lorient to the lower division.
However, the English Premier League side are only prepared to make an offer of 8.5 million Euros.
Majeed Waris has a contract with the French Ligue II side until 2020 but it is believed the Ghanaian want out of the club.
Having missed training the whole July but returned at the end of last season to join the rest of his teammates who have begun their journey for a quick return to Ligue 1.
The 25-year-old joined Lorient from Trabzonspor having played for the likes of Hacken and Spartak Moscow.
