Ghana winger Solomon Asante has reiterated his intentions to leave DR Congo giants, Tout Puissant Mazembe after his contract expires.
Asante joined the Lubumbashi-based giants from Ghana Premier League outfit Berekum Chelsea in the 2013 season.
However, the 27-year-old winger says it is time seek for fresh challenges after winning a host of laurels with the club hence he will not renew his contract when it expires next week.
“My contract ends on 20th December and I don’t think I will renew it. I have achieved all that I want to achieve on the continental front. Won all there is to win, so I need a fresh challenge elsewhere.” Solomon Asante told FootballMadeInGhana.com.
“It’s been a wonderful five years filled with ups and downs, but the positives outweigh the negatives. I’m happy that my other Ghanaian colleagues and I did our best for the club. We gave it our all. I believe it’s time to move on.” he added.
Asante played an important role for the Ravens in their recent CAF Confederations Cup success against SuperSport United when he set up Daniel Nii Adjei for the side's second goal in the first leg.
