Thomas Partey has become a core member of Simeone's team
Atletico Madrid midfielder, Thomas Teye Partey has heaped praises on head coach Diego Simeone for taken his game to a different level insisting his guidance has helped him to improve.
The Ghanaian joined the youth side of Atletico Madrid in 2011 and earned a promotion to the senior team two years later.
The 24-year-old made his debut for Atletico Madrid in 2015 after loan stints with Mallorca and UD Almería.
"I have improved in many things, tactically, how to push, how to position myself and not miss many balls," Partey said.
"With the help of the whole team and my teammates, I have also improved many things to understand how we play."
"He asks me to help the team defensively and attacking, with many passes ahead." the Black Stars player added.
"Everything I am doing now, thanks to the advice he gives me, is helping me."
The tireless midfielder has netted three goals in his 30 appearances for the Madrid-based club in the ongoing season.
His sterling performance at the club earned him a contract extension which keeps him at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano until summer 2023.
