Kevin-Prince Boateng is suffering from pain in his knee, that, while not enough to stop him from playing, does affect him, according to Catalunya Ràdio.
According to the report, he is not fit to play “four or five games one after the other” due to the injury.
The forward was taken on loan from Sassuolo in January after Munir El Haddadi’s departure. He made his debut in a 2-0 loss to Sevilla in the Copa del Rey. He was taken off in the second half and has not featured since. The reason could be purely a technical decision by the manager, or it could be affected by his knee problems.
Barcelona knew about this issue, which has been described as a chronic condition. The report says it is normal for a 32-year-old player to suffer from pain, and be accustomed to playing through it regardless. The forward was never meant to play many minutes for the Catalans, as he arrived as an emergency loan signing.
