English-born of Ghanaian descent Arvin Appiah has been awarded for his swashbuckling performance for Nottingham Forest’s U-18 by scooping the club’s Youth Player of the Season.
Appiah, who became the club’s fans favourite after his impressive display for them and England's youth levels during the season just gone, turned out six times in the Championship on his way to becoming a familiar face among City Ground supporters.
And now Appiah has been named in 'The 11', which acknowledges the progress of the very best under-18 players across the Football League both while playing for their clubs and for their work with the community or charity-based initiatives.
“Arvin has been excellent to work with and really has a desire to be the best he can be. His work ethic and willingness to improve stands him apart," said youth coach Gareth Holmes.
“On top of this, Arvin is an excellent human being who is totally respected by players and staff throughout the club.”
