Ghana striker, Raphael Dwamena is set to retire from football due to heart problem, Footballghana.com can confirm.
The 25-year-old who recently visited the office of one of the most prestigious cardiologists in Spain in Barcelona along with his trusted doctor in Zurich knows that if he continues playing he is at serious risk of suffering a cardiovascular accident.
Dwamena has not been in the pitch since last month since Real Zaragoza confirmed the player has suffered a heart problem.
Real Zaragoza have finalized the documentation to present the loss of Raphael Dwamena to La Liga and the Spanish Football Federation for his heart condition, something he plans to do at the end of this week or at the beginning of the next because he wants to register another player in his place.
Dwamena has already met with the president of UD Levante where he was loaned to Zaragoza in the summer.
The enterprising striker had his move to Brighton and Hove Albion in 2017 halted after the club reported the player has a heart problem.
Zaragoza are in negotiation with Atlético the signing of Darío Poveda, with a profile similar to Dwamena.
