Thomas Teye Partey's father, Jacob Teye Partey, has said the Atletico Madrid midfielder "best is yet to come" after his scintillating performance against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League.
For Jacob, Thomas recent performance for the Rojiblancos is a sign of great things to happen for the midfielder and is convinced his son can win accolades in the mere future.
He expressed optimism about his son winning African Footballer of the Year in subsequent years due to his hard training.
"Thomas can win African best. I normally tell close friends that his best is yet to come. By one or two years time he will reach a peak that will surprise Ghanaians" he told Footballghana in an interview
