Ghana forward Kevin-Prince Boateng says he is in good shape despite leaving the field prematurely in Besiktas’ draw against Trabzonspor in the Turkish Supaliga on Saturday.
Boateng registered his name on the scoresheet in the 57th minute as the Black Eagles held Trabzonspor to a 2-2 stalemate.
The 35-year-old suffered a blow to his head and was replaced by Tyler Boyd in the 77th minute.
He was greeted with thunderous applause as he was taken off the pitch.
The former AC Milan ace was feared to have sustained a serious injury, but he has been quick to play down the concern, saying he is in good shape.
"I just got a blow from the defensive player in the position I scored in the goal, there was a little dizziness, but it seems not serious," Boateng said in a statement about his injury after the match.
Boateng joined the side on a six-month loan deal with the option to buy from Fiorentina during the January transfer window.
