Majeed Ashimeru is an elated person as his side, FC Salburg’s progression to the last 2 of the Austrian Cup.
The 22-year-old starred for Jesse Marsch’s side as they edged LASK Linz in the OFB Cup semi-finals yesterday.
Ashimeru excelled throughout the duration of the game while deployed in an unfamiliar defensive midfield role.
The former WAFA player played as an opponent to another Ghanaian, Samuel Tetteh in the game.
A goal from South Korean Hwang Chee ensured Ashimeru ended up on the victorious side in a 1-0 result.
FC Salzburg will now face second-tier side Austria Lustenau in the final on May 1.
