Breaking News: President-elect Mahama appoints members of 2024 transition team

John Dramani Mahama, the president-elect, has selected a group of seasoned people to manage the handover of power after winning the 2024 presidential election.

In accordance with the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (ACT 845), which requires the formation of a Transition Team to enable a seamless transfer of political authority from the departing administration, the nominations were made.

A news release signed by the president-elect's spokesperson, Sammy Gyamfi Esq., made the announcement.

To guarantee a smooth leadership transition and efficient governance continuity, the recently constituted Transition Team will work closely with officials from the departing government.

Members of the team have substantial backgrounds in a range of fields, including public administration, finance, and governance.

Dr. Callistus Mahama – Member/Secretary to the Transition Team

President-elect Mahama has designated Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho as a member of the Transitional Advisory Council, which will provide direction and assistance throughout the transition phase, in addition to the Transition Team.

This action is a component of Mahama's pledge to guarantee a seamless and effective transition process, emphasizing the continuation of the nation's development and bolstering democratic governance.

With their extensive experience and knowledge, the nominated team members are anticipated to put in a lot of effort to ensure a smooth transition that would prepare the ground for the incoming administration to get started right away.
