Ghana's much awaited general election for 2024 is officially over.

On December 9, 2024, National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate John Dramani Mahama was proclaimed the next president by Jean Mensa, the chairperson of the Electoral Commission.

With entertainment figures running for parliamentary seats in a number of constituencies, this year's election saw some intriguing turns.

Since 2020, actress Dzifa Gomashie has served as Ketu South's Member of Parliament (MP), and she was running for a second term.

However, she will be joined at the next Parliament by five entertainment icons.
