In the midst of the ongoing election results collation, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged party members to remain composed.
Speaking to supporters, he questioned the figures that are currently in circulation and voiced confidence in the party's chances. Social media projections generally indicate that the NDC will ultimately win the important national results.
Chairman Wontumi, however, asked people to maintain their optimism and have faith in the process. These are only initial numbers. The national results are the true game-changer, and we are confident that our diligence and Ghanaians' faith will bring us victory," Wontumi said.
The Chairman also called for vigilance while the vote-counting process proceeds and reassured party members that the NPP is still dedicated to maintaining the process's integrity.
"Who leads Ghana on January 7 will be decided by our votes, and I am sure that the people have made the right decision," he continued. His comments coincide with heightened political tensions as both main parties keep a tight eye on the country's counting and collation procedures.
