In order to carry out a thorough post-poll analysis of the 2024 election results, Stephen Ayensu Ntim, the National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has said that the party will form an efficient elections review committee in January 2025.
He revealed this information on Monday, December 23, 2024, during a news conference at the party's headquarters.
According to Mr. Stephen Ayesu Ntim, the committee is open to candid criticism in order to inform the party's restructuring for upcoming elections.
Our goal was to achieve a resounding victory at the polls, and we were really optimistic and hopeful. And we worked so hard. During the campaign, we as a party gave it our all. I applaud every member of the party's numerous campaign teams, from polling places to the national level, who gave the competition their all.
"There is no denying that the election's result fell short of our expectations. In the fight for a better Ghana, guided by the principles and beliefs of the New Patriotic Party, we may not have prevailed, but we haven't lost either.
"The party will establish an efficient and impartial election review committee in January 2025 to conduct a post-mortem on the election's outcome.
The committee will involve all party stakeholders and the general public on the circumstances and factors that led to our defeat."
