CCTV footage of the tragic accident in Kumasi that killed two people

In Kumasi, two people were tragically killed when a speeding commercial truck collided with them, as seen in heartbreaking CCTV footage. The victims were spotted standing by the side of the road, presumably waiting for a car.

One victim was unidentified, while the other was recognised as a third-year geography student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

In the video, the trotro is shown travelling at an uncontrollable speed before swerving and colliding with the two people.

Then, in a terrible collision, the car crashed onto the pavement. The two victims immediately passed away from their wounds, according to witnesses at the site.

The victims' relatives and the KNUST community are in deep sadness as a result of the loss. In order to stop such preventable tragedies, the incident has led to calls for tougher enforcement of traffic safety laws.
