Collation suspended in Ahafo Ano as shots are fired to disperse angry voters

After irate voters damaged property at the collation site in Tepa to vent their frustration with the collation process, security guards in Ahafo Ano opened fire. For their own safety, Electoral Commission (EC) personnel have temporarily moved and ceased collation.

Gunshots can still be heard as the security forces and the group continue to square off.

As NPP and NDC agents attempt to reach an agreement following the shootings, collation in Ahafo Ano South West is likewise on pause.
