Miracles Aboagye claims that Bawumia has been punished for transgressions he did not commit.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) leader and vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's spokesperson for the 2024 general election campaign, Miracles Denis Aboagye, has implied that the vice president lost the election due to "victim of circumstances" rather than his own fault.

People understand that Dr. Bawumia lost because he was a victim of a circumstance rather than because he was unfit to lead, Mr. Aboagye claims. Consequently, after last week's polls, a lot of people have shown sympathy for the vice president.

"It's evident from these discussions that everyone feels sympathy for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as a candidate who is a victim of his circumstances," he remarked.

"At a time when he was pursuing his own mission, it's as if sins were brought upon him, which he had no control over," Aboagye added. He went on to say that Dr. Bawumia now has an obligation to address the public and provide an explanation for why he lost the 2024 election.

At this moment, it is his duty to approach these individuals and say, "I know you punished me for these things, but should we talk?" Should we have a conversation to see if we can resolve these issues and come up with a shared strategy for the future?

Aboagye declared that Dr. Bawumia's abilities are still undeniable despite the catastrophic loss in Saturday's polls, adding, "His capability, his ability, his level of innovation, and the fact that he is the leader this country needs are not in doubt." However, he pointed out that occasionally you could find yourself in the perfect position at the wrong time.

Regarding the Vice President's loss, he underlined, "He is basically being punished for a lot of sins he did not commit."

In last week's election, Dr. Bawumia of the NPP received 4,657,304 votes out of 11,191,422 legitimate ballots, and Mr. John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) received 6,328,397 votes, winning by a landslide.

Following the conclusion of the Nana Akufo-Addo and Bawumia-led administration, former President John Mahama and his staff have started the transition process in anticipation of his inauguration on January 7, 2025.
